Five people have been confirmed dead in San Remigio following the 6.9-magnitude earthquake, according to the San Remigio Municipal Police Station.

The casualties include one BFP personnel, three PCG personnel, and one child. Authorities reported that the BFP and PCG personnel died when a local complex collapsed due to the earthquake.

As of this report, two additional individuals remain unaccounted for, one inside the collapsed complex and another in Barangay Poblacion.

JUST IN: Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero says that Leyte 1st district Rep. Martin Romualdez pushed for Vice President Sara Duterte's impeachment complaint.

He confirms what Navotas City lone district Rep. Toby Tiangco said that the filing of the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte was used by Romualdez as a way to release their funds that were under FLR before the elections, even though he already knew all along that the Senate would not be able to tackle it until June.
