Love that Batiba has a tarsier/balete tree motif. Tarsiers hate being around too many people and would kill themselves when stressed. Balete trees are often said to be evil, often choking their host trees, but they serve a purpose, they prevent trees from being blown by typhoons.
Another Forgotten Island Easter egg!
🐉🌙 That dragon lingering on Nakali Island is actually a Bakunawa. Grabe, ang galing talaga ng animation nito! The more you watch the movie, the more you appreciate all the little details hidden throughout.

@chowmowan This just adds to my extending list of local f&b biz with shady practices. Yung gusto mo sana i-support since local nga, kaso yung iba kasi daig pa yung big corpos like jfc sa galawan at treatment sa employees.
Welp, this blew up. Just to clarify tho since parang ang daming triggered; NO, I wasn't pertaining to Filipinos as a community. I was frustrated by the lack of press it has locally. FYI, yung last update ng Universal Pictures PH about the movie was from JUNE.
Am I just too much into the korean rabbit hole of X? Why am I seeing more koreans hyping up #ForgottenIsland than the country people the exact movie was based on?
I don't think they're even active tbh. lmao. Other countries are doing so much better than their PH team (if there even is any) lol. I've been seeing so much content from Mexico, Spain and Korea. Samantalang last tweet ng @UniversalPicsPH about the movie was from JUNE!!
Kung ako marketing department ng Dreamworks sa Philippines, dadalhin ko sa masa ang Forgotten Island. Promote it in tge jeepneys, promote it in public transportation. Partner with filipino orgs 😭
