Also, this is the longest I've been without writing a single line of CSS. Hahah I'm really fighting the urge to fix the styling up. Maybe I should at least make the width wider so I can see the text... but one thing leads to another... and another...😅😅

Finally implemented a proper search bar. This wasnt done during my first attempt because there were a lot of stress haha. Although I will say this was a lot simpler to add then the three drop down list and less than half the code and time.. and bugs 🙃🙂🙃
The main bug was that the checkbox tick wasn't always toggling on/off and the latest item that was updated would be moved to the bottom of the list. That was a cheeky bug that was satisfying to fix. The edit and delete feature was just a matter of reading supabase docs 😋

Great progress today! Manage to fix a few bugs on the packing list and now users are able to add, edit, delete and tick of items from their packing list!! :D🧳

Documenting my code is something I often forget to do and can be a tedious task if left til the end. So today, I tried to practice that more. Getting to the habit of documenting each stage when it's still fresh in my head 🙏 It's not perfect at the moment 😅
D71 #100DaysOfCode#Hack4Hope Hackathon ✅✅✅
These ladies were amazing to work with! I'm really proud of what we were able to achieve in one weekend. I really hope that our chosen charity can put our solution to use and increase productivity 🩷 https://t.co/G3bLZx9Nl8

Day 1 of hackathon was quite productive given we hacked for a total of 3hrs. I really enjoy working with people with different experiences. Everyone is so creative in their own ways and watching us bring all of that together to solve a problem is exciting! 👏
I'm joining @GirlsinTech for the #Hack4Hope starting tomorrow! And I'm super excited because this year, I joined two volunteer myself to give back to the community. The first is a breakfast club for primary school children and the second is with @sharingdignity! 🩷🩷

It's been a lot of learning with TTD today. My unit tests were really lengthy and I kept wanting to simplify it. So it was a constant battle with myself 😅 I'm far from being GREAT at TDD but it's been a great challenge for today! 🙏
D68 #100DaysOfCode
Studied up on TDD and BDD. I've never heard of BDD before. It's a really interesting and clever way to test code. I love that it can be understood by any stakeholder 👏 I'll be attempting implementation tmr! Wish me luck! 🤞

It's been a hot minute here Twitter. Finally doing some work on voyage! Users can now add items to their packing list, but still working on rendering the items as it's been added and the checked function. Supabase has been a learning curve 🙏
D66 #100DaysOfCode
Productive day! Implemented user login & signup and they can now add packing lists to their own account. Everything is hooked up to supabase. Bit of a learning curve to implement supabase, but I got there in the end! Seems simple now that I got it working 😅🙏
D65 #100DaysOfCode
Helped a (NOW) friend (former student) with her code today! It was nice to help debug and just talk code with someone else. I'm still unsure about the environment variables for CRA, but I'll just have to make do with it for now. I'll ask stackoverflow tmr...

Lowkey wishing I created this app from scratch. Messing with folder names are causing me more headaches than anything. Another day of more research. Started to work on deploying it to set environment variables there... Now deployment is giving me issues 😀😀
D63 #100DaysOfCode
So I decided to implement Supabase into Voyage 2.0. Long night doing research and trying to implement it with React. Ran into a couple issues with environment variables and connecting Supabase. Going to give it a rest and work on it tomorrow 🥱😴
D62 #100DaysOfCode
Another quick addition today. Did some interview prep this morning so didn't feel like coding too much today.
I'm reusing one component for new packing lists so I can get basic functionalities to work. This is a big work in progress. Trust the process 🙏🙏

...for this particular project. But I've run into a problem with how to render different packing list when you click on the list name. Maybe it's not a problem yet. I guess I haven't really thought about how to render it 😅😆 A job for tomorrow! 🙏
D61 #100DaysOfCode 1/2
Finally added a packing list to the app! Not sure why the modal is so low on the page😅 I'm trying hard not to use a backend for this project. Just because I want to make my life easier for deployment and I want to really focus on the web design...
