@DougDavidsonYR He has threatened annexing Canada and Greenland since he became president. He is trying to create war, not peace. Are you completely unaware of this or just ignoring it?
I spent the 1980s fighting against smoking in public places. It was a political fight, smokers claiming their right to do whatever they wanted, if it bothered me I could hide at home in fear. The tobacco industry spent billions advertising and paying lobbyists to repeat their lies hundreds of times each day. It was mild, the evidence of harm inconclusive, everything carries a risk, XYZ is more harmful.
They even did the calculation to show that smoking saves the government money because there were fewer people living to old age.
To turn around public opinion required equal repetition through advertising campaigns with simple messages - "Kissing a smoker is like licking an ashtray" was a particularly effective Australian government ad campaign.
We need similar PH campaigns making it socially unthinkable to spread germs.
If you’ve been wondering where I am, or what life can feel like with long COVID, I have written a little bit about my experience. Thanks to @CBCToronto for publishing my story

Not the ImmDebt
“Our findings suggest that COVID-19 contributed to the 2022 surge of RSV cases in young children through the large buildup of COVID-19-infected children and the potential long-term adverse effects of C19 on the immune &respiratory system https://t.co/q8F0sNpMYu
What Piers is trying to explain here is that the acute phase is not the disease. Covid comes for your health in the post-acute phase — it can be lingering symptoms like Piers, immune system impairment, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, lupus, vasculitis, cognitive difficulties…
Every time you catch COVID-19, your risk of other severe issues starts to rise.
Research is starting to show that with reinfection, your chance of serious issues such as diabetes, mental health issues, and chronic fatigue goes up.
If anything, this graph proves that SARS-CoV-2 is *not* “just a cold or flu”. 38% rise in labour force disability! Look at that steep rise…& it is NOT levelling off.
Normal? Hah!

@goforthegullies@CMOH_NL Yeah, cause the flu costs Canada more than a billion dollars a month in hospitalizations. We are almost at 100,000 excess deaths in Canada since COVID. What you believe is all lies and the joke.
