I learned Dolly was one of 12 and even after taking care of her siblings her entire life, she turned 18 moved to Nashville and brought 5 with her, raised them and put them through school. #EH204

I think as start to do our own interviews we consider the questions we ask. I think Dolly is a great person to interview because she is a great talker but Gross still does a great job at asking open ended questions that anyone can build off of. #EH204

Dolly Parton made her appearance on NPR with Terry Gross and I chose to listen to her interview because Dolly is so genuine and entertaining to listen to. Dolly says, “Please go buy my new album because it’s costing me a lot to look this cheap.”

Carr explained how he may be talking to a source at the beginning and he says, “What do you think the story is I should tell?” I found that very interesting as we start working towards interviews and how he does this to strive for congruence. #EH204

Carr explained how when interviewing it’s best to ask and stop talking to get the best information to see what they think the story is about, I think this will be very beneficial for us when we start interviewing, instead of us doing all of the talking #EH204

I’ve never truly given the ending much thought when I’ve started writing— I obviously always just think of my starting place. However, it would be interesting to start by writing a story with only the ending in mind and see how different the result is. #EH204

RPC also talks about how after watching your favorite movie and paying attention to the details you could talk about how you would describe certain scenes if you had to write them for print and I think that is very beneficial to really understand cinematicart

I was really interested to read #RPC tool 34 because I knew little to nothing about this topic before and it makes you want to rewatch a favorite movie and pay attention to the camera work involved. #EH204
