Happened to my dad too, but flight from MNL to Doha. Ground staff insisted that he change from his rubber shoes to leather shoes which he doesn’t have at that time. They were refusing to let him board if he doesn’t change to leather shoes. @qatarairways too.

Airport staff are just … oppression everywhere. When I was boarding my flight to Doha, some guy was in front of me. He was traveling for his masters. The ticketing officer checked his valid student visa and then was now questioning him.
