No, this isn't the new Taylor Swift album cover. I've cleaned-up this remarkable colour photo, taken 113 years ago in August 1913, a year before the First World War. It is a portrait of 16-year-old Christina Bevan at Durdle Door in Lulworth, Dorset. It was taken by Lt-Colonel Mervyn O’Gorman using an early colour glass-plate process and isn't colourised.
This was one of the first Autochromes I cleaned up for Twitter and I share it again with you because it is such a beautiful image 😍

They found my son on this platform & made terrible racist comments about me, him & other members of my family. They called me a 'Becky' a white slag they told my son I only had him to hide my racism. Oren Goldin was happily raising their children, Aviv and Ilay, on Kibbutz Nir Yirzchak, where Oren worked as a car mechanic.

Oren also volunteered for the Kibbutz civil defense group.

On the morning of October 7th, as rockets rained down, Oren got his team together.

When reports came in of smoke at the locked gate of the Kibbutz, Oren went there to see what was going on-- but it was a trap.

Members of Hamas were there and sniped Oren down. Six other members of the Kibbutz defense squad were killed while fighting bravely, as were two members of the Kibbutz. Five members of the Kibbutz were taken hostage to Gaza after 50 members of Hamas entered the Kibbutz.

Despite the heavy toll, defenders of the Kibbutz were successful in repelling most of the attack from Gaza.

Oren's wife Oshrit and his two children survived.

Never forget who started this war and what beautiful communities they decided they would destroy.

We will never forget Oren and the heroes of Kibbutz Nir Yitzchak.

The house was clean as a whistle upon their return. Hate to say it but we were just way more sophisticated and mature back then. (mid 80’s).

What we know:
1. She's a member of the French left-wing party and an activist, one of the biggest advocates for opening up migration to North African peoples.

2. She owns a small chic boutique in an upscale spot, she stood in her shop trying to save it from looting and theft telling them that she's a famous activist.

3. She told them I'm so-and-so, the activist for asylum, I'm with you, I've defended you and your entry and stay in France, they spat on her, knocked her down, and trampled her with their feet, good thing she's still alive.

4. And they looted the whole shop, losing all the struggle and work of her lifetime in a moment. Standing there stunned, not believing that these thieving, rabble-rousing, criminal, barbaric hordes are the ones she's spent her whole life defending, and advocating for them to invade her country and destroy it

What do you think of the ‘Palestine Poppy’?

Israel-hating activists are substituting the traditional red poppy, commemorating those who made the ultimate sacrifice in Flanders Fields, with a ‘Palestine poppy’.

A “small donation” from sales will go towards charities such as Friends of Al-Aqsa, which said “Israel used the events of 7th October as a pretext to launch a genocidal war against the Palestinian people.”

At a recent Palestine hate march, activists desecrated the Battle of Britain Memorial.

The ‘Palestine Poppy’ is another illustration of how those who, because of their hatred of the Jewish state, put Palestine first, will end up putting Britain last.
