Despite the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, neither my family nor I have been provided with adequate security so far. Due to continuous threats, I am genuinely afraid for the safety of myself and my family.

Several false cross-FIRs have also been lodged against me in different states. I fear that these cases may be used to force me to travel to places where I could be subjected to a life-threatening attack.

I am a Class 10 student and have my Board Examinations this year. However, due to the constant threat to my safety, I am unable to attend school or tuition, which is seriously affecting my education and future.

I therefore respectfully request that the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court be implemented immediately and that adequate security and necessary protection be provided to me and my family without any further delay.

This morning, my son asked why his school was closed and his midterm examination postponed.

I told him, because the BRICS Summit is being held in Delhi.

Every school in Delhi has been shut. Govt offices are closed. Roads have been restricted and ordinary life thrown out of gear so visiting dignitaries can move through a carefully sanitised capital without encountering its traffic, chaos or citizens.

Security for international guests is necessary. But paralysing an entire city is not security. It is administrative incompetence dressed up as hospitality.

Why should children across Delhi miss examinations because the govt cannot design targeted traffic and security arrangements? Why must ordinary citizens always pay the price for the system's inability to manage?

Whenever foreign dignitaries arrive, slums are hidden behind curtains, selected roads are beautified and citizens are pushed out of sight. The govt cannot provide Delhi's residents a decent quality of life or value for their taxes, but it can suspend their lives to manufacture a three-day illusion of efficiency.

A capable govt hosts its guests without treating its own citizens as an embarrassment or an inconvenience.
