Girl...? Wdym not telling? TELL ME 😣 I'm just as eager as Barth.
But him saying 'no' to the question without any hesitation surprised me tbh. It shows that, growing up he did think about how his life might've been if things were different - "If my parents were still here, would I still be who I am today?" That alone suggests this path was never truly his calling and that he'd questioned whether it was the right path for him long before now. And him saying he doesn't know what he would want from life might actually be true too. Maybe he never allowed himself to dream beyond it because he thought there was no point. His future was already laid out for him and he only had one goal.
But ever since barth came into his life, he's discovering that there's more to life than that. That he can have dreams, he can allow himself to figure out who he is, what he likes, what he's good at, what makes him happy, sad, and alive. More importantly, he has someone who loves him for who he is, not for what he believes.
For the first time, he can question who he is beyond the grief that has defined him for so long. And I strongly believe that's exactly what tanrak is gonna go through in the next episode, an intense internal conflict that ultimately leads him to his final decision.
