Building apps has never been easier.
With Sites, Codex can turn your work, ideas, and plans into an interactive website or app your team can explore, use, and share with a URL.
Rolling out to Business and Enterprise plans, before expanding more broadly.
@yacineMTB I had plenty of time to party. I didn’t have a 4.0, but my internship experience and non-technical experience was far more valuable than a 4.0 IMO
@Object_Zero_@8teAPi Sure a lot of Americans are bad with money but you’re also bad with money if you’d rather invest in something like the STOXX Europe 600 vs the S&P 500. I am stressing that the American economy, not the people or anything else, is the best place for anyone to put their money
@Object_Zero_@8teAPi And by worse like far far worse. European countries do have better social nets for a lot of services.
But in general if you’re looking to build wealth these days you will find a higher roi in the American economy.
@Object_Zero_@8teAPi 50 years of aapl = 1 year of France is impressive when you realize that apple at its highest has ~160,000 employees and France has ~67 million people. So yeah, you’d think it would be way more than 50 years.
As for your second point I do agree being poor in America is worse.
@Object_Zero_@8teAPi I’m saying that one American company in ~50 years has generated the same value as the entire French economy generates in a year. That is insane.
If you wanted to compare apples to apples the GDP of California is the same as France and is double on a per capita basis.
@Object_Zero_@8teAPi Sure, art work is great, and it can help with tourism. And that can return value to people. But the US’s economic model allows for the most innovation and return on capital out of any system in the world.
@Object_Zero_@8teAPi Laa Vegas, established ~100 years ago, makes almost 90 billion a year from tourism. Per capita that blows out France.
You can argue Americans don’t know European economics but when Apple alone is worth more than the entire GDP of France you can’t deny the US system is better
@Object_Zero_@8teAPi There’s zero benefit to a government owned entity like le louvre appreciating in capital value. Those gains will probably never be realized since the collections will never be sold. Even if they did, how would those gains be returned to the people? They wouldn’t.
@martin_casado I’m very interested in systems focused computer science. What would be some topics you think are essential to being an expert in systems CS?
