@riger1984 In honor of Pat Caputo: “At the beginning of the year people were saying “HEY! We’re pretty good, OK?” Well the sad thing is, uhh you’re pretty bad. You had a chance to trade for Jason Holliday and uhh and ya didn’t. Now want someone like Connor Griffith? Uhhh too late, OK?”
@Jared_Carrabis Everyone is either just ignoring or is unaware of the fact that the tigers were more than willing to negotiate with boras once the numbers were submitted - probably to end up in about the $25M range, but boras said he refused to come down one cent off $32M.
@Stungun091@davebirkett Agree. The creativity in the run game almost vanished. Petzing was able to do some good things with questionable talent. I hope Monty is back and his is closer to 2023-24 levels. In terms of the passing game - keep the explosive plays, but rediscover the intermediate routes too.
@davebirkett People are acting like we hired some unknown with 0 experience. This isn’t like we hired Blough who’s barely been a position coach. Petzing is still young, but he’s also been an NFL OC and has been good at maximizing what little talent he had to work with.
@Stungun091@davebirkett I think we can all agree that the offense was far too inconsistent for our liking last year (thanks in large part to the OL) but let’s not pretend that we turned into some middling offense. Our “step back” was still a 2025 top 3 scoring offense. A complete rebuild is not needed.
@tbean909@MPD269@woodwardsports@tigers@MLB@NickKohloff@DetroitHeckler Not only will he not be fired but he’s about to sign an extension. “Awful?” September collapse aside we had the best record in the AL as late as August and still made the playoffs with a team lacking in star power. He’s the least of our issues.
@ZWeiss91 @LeanderReeves @PulpLibrarian Oh no, Donovan. You’ve got to go downtown. It’s all downtown (including local merchants). You can’t have Downtown, he’s not ready! D is for Downtown. Tell your friends.
