Yesterday, Members of the NRM Parliamentary Caucus convened at the Office of the President to elect the Caucus Executive Committee and endorse flag bearers for the two vacant seats in the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
The meeting provided an opportunity to listen, deliberate, conduct elections, and build consensus on matters of national importance.
The Caucus resolved to approve the following Executive Committee members:
• Hon. Isaac Ismail Otimgiu – Vice Chairperson • Hon. Brenda Namukuta – General Secretary • Hon. Derrick Orone – Publicity Secretary • Hon. Hope Grania Nakazibwe – Treasurer
The Caucus also endorsed the following flag bearers for the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA): • Hon. Stella Kiryowa • Hon. Fred Rwakaizi Bangumya
The following nominees to the Pan-African Parliament were approved:
• Hon. Sarah Najuma – Woman MP, Nakaseke District • Hon. Arinaitwe Rwakajara – Workers MP • Hon. Anthony Akol – MP, Kilak North
As we prepare for the NRM LC1 and Woman LC primaries on 10 July 2026, I call upon all members to mobilize and support NRM flag bearers across all 72,000 villages.

Yesterday, at the Parliamentary Induction Seminar, I joined fellow legislators in discussions aimed at strengthening our legislative mandate, enhancing parliamentary oversight, and advancing effective service delivery for our people.
Today, I participated in the ongoing Induction Seminar of the 12th @Parliament_Ug. The 4 day activity is intended to share and strengthen our individual and collective responsibility to ensure effective service delivery for the people of #Uganda and accelerate progress as a country to upper middle income status.
Yesterday, I was honored to preside over the closing ceremony for the Presidential Hubs Finance Officers and Demonstration Farm Managers at Oliver Tembo School in Kaweweta.
The officers successfully completed a week long transformational leadership and mindset course.

We visited Kabalega International airport, last Sunday. I commend the NRM Government for this strategic vision that will promote our oil industry and facilitate AFCON. The airport is almost ready for use. I was also happy to meet some young men from Northern Uganda who are guarding the airport.
The Cabinet Retreat will strengthen government coordination, improve service delivery, and enhance implementation of national priorities. For Hon. @JaneRuth_Aceng, it reinforces her role in advancing effective governance and delivering better outcomes for the people of Uganda.
