The passage of SB 202 is deeply disappointing. This divisive bill is unnecessary and is designed to suppress voter turnout in communities of color and other minority groups. It is shameless to change the rules of the game simply because you lost.
Last primary in Georgia was 6/9/20. Lines were hours long & outside in many places. If it were an average June day, it would’ve been 87.8 degrees, feeling like 99.7. If that were June of this year, it would now be illegal to give someone a bottle of water as they waited to vote.
In 2017, Georgia’s next U.S. Senator @ossoff confronted a dark chapter in our nation’s story by standing for office. Now Jon Ossoff will stand for all of Georgia in the fight for healthcare, jobs + justice. And our nation will be all the better for having him. Congratulations!
With new votes joining the tally, we are on a strong path. But even while we wait for more, let’s celebrate the extraordinary organizers, volunteers, canvassers & tireless groups that haven’t stopped going since Nov. Across our state, we roared. A few miles to go...but well done!
I voted for Joe today. I ask every eligible American voter who follows me and who doesn’t follow me to do the same. It’s time to change the world. We must do it now.
Trump can't bully New Yorkers. Ever notice those who know him best like him the least? Ask his sister, a former federal judge, who said he's a liar and "you can't trust him." He says he wins NYS. Really? Want to bet?
Thanks to my Sorors of @dstinc1913 & ALL my sisters who joined in solidarity @ the GA Capitol & across the globe to support @CityofAtlanta in its masks lawsuit. “People do not choose rebellion; it is forced upon them. Revolution is always an act of self-defense.” ~Dr. C.T. Vivian
Quarantine is over and Mama showed up between morning and afternoon meetings with shears in hand to trim me up. She hasn’t done hair in over a decade, but Mama still got IT! Now....back to life, back to reality....
I’m thrilled to announce a new project: The #MichelleObamaPodcast with @Spotify! It’s been a tough year and I hope this podcast can help us explore what we’re going through and spark new conversations with our loved ones. I can't wait for you all to listen on July 29!
Like so many of you, I’m pained by these recent tragedies. And I’m exhausted by a heartbreak that never seems to stop. Right now it’s George, Breonna, and Ahmaud. Before that it was Eric, Sandra, and Michael. It just goes on, and on, and on.
A leader doesn’t doesn’t look to criticize, a leader accepts criticism and learns. A leader doesn’t look for praise, a leader offers praise. A leader doesn’t ask for trust, a leader earns your trust. We all have those who need us to love them and lead them. Be a leader
Why are you stressing over people you just met as if losing relationship with them will disrupt your world?
You literally just met them. Focus on what matters! Harness your heart!
All connections are not divine.
