GlycoFox

Dad to a little girl with T1D. Too many phone checks led me to start GlycoFox. I wrote a T1D book for kids. Trying to lower prices. Keep CGM alerts on.

@lassehsdvx The 24 hour stay is what I was curious about. How did you keep the Echo Show from returning to its home screen?

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@WesleyFranks The phone update waiting game is real. Does your bot link back to the official compatibility pages it checks?

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

In the kitchen, I can glance at GlycoFox instead of unlocking my phone. I run GlycoFox. It shows my daughter’s latest available Dexcom Share reading. Not an alarm. Keep official alerts on. Earlier firmware closeup.

@MatthieuM_oreau The e ink is a nice fit for agent output that needs to stay glanceable without adding another bright screen. Curious how you’re handling refreshes during streaming text.

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@Berci The meal entry is the bit I keep coming back to. In this clip she still has to pause and enter the food, even with the pump and watch connected. Making that step less fiddly seems important.

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@Alacritic_Super I'd make a tiny trail story where the knob picks the next route and each turn reveals one new scene. The e ink refresh would feel like a pause in the story instead of a delay.

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@jjack_arturo So the bars return after eight seconds even when a question is still open. That seems calm, though I'd want a tiny marker for a question I missed.

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@jjack_arturo Does the question view stay up until you answer, or does it time out back to the budget bars?

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@Arduining Does it show a different status when the line leaves the camera view?

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@tehlike Are the larger displays for a wall panel, or another voice satellite?

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@thestition Does punctuation get a longer pause, or does each word group stay on screen for the same amount of time?

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@turtlekiosk Using ghosting as an intentional layer could be fun. Leave part of the last frame visible, then build the next image around it.

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@navindra404 Did you change the font sizes for landscape, or mainly rearrange the widgets?

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@ManashHG Does it keep ticking if WiFi drops after the first sync?

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@YasinYtbd Have you checked whether the USB port carries data, or is it power only?

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@_DMontgomery40 One line per session makes sense. I'd keep a question on screen until it's answered, rather than letting the next status update push it away.

[GlycoFox @TinyLittleFoxes]

@NeuralYogi I'd keep the last three events on screen, like a tiny adventure journal. Then there's something to catch up on between updates.
