@ChickenYogi I used to love IG, but the pivot to video has put a damper on that; I can take pretty pictures but video adds another project that I don't have the mental bandwidth for. I just joined Mastodon a second ago. I'm interested to finally check it out.

Hybrid is definitely the way to go if you can hack the work involved in self-publishing. Publishers have done enormous amounts for my career, but the self-pub stuff has paid the rent.
