There’s an awful lot of you who appear totally unbothered by the fact that a man who’s most likely to be Canada’s next PM willingly went on a podcast sponsored in part by an anti-abortion group.
@parismarx Canada was built with assimilation and racism. If he truly believes that never existed before recent decades- he is more ignorant than I ever imagined. Definitely not voting for him.
@CKOMNews Maybe they need to start doing what large cities like Edmonton and Calgary do. Your address is what school you attend. You can no longer attend schools outside your address or Catchment zone.
@EKyqr@steve_boots Pls do some research on mental health and addictions. Like talking to professionals in the field- social workers, psychologists, addiction counsellors would be a good start.
@SophAmelia75 @ctvsaskatoon But we will spend millions of dollars on a new front and offices at ST Paul’s, while buildings are full of mold and not enough bed space. Hmm 🤔
@Jo_BootsBoots@David6081919901 It’s also mandatory to use your cell for photography class in high school. Guess the schools will have to actually purchase cameras.
@Jo_BootsBoots This 💯. I’ve told my kids I’ll email all their teachers and tell them they will not be using their cell phone for educational purport anymore. Fund it correctly or you can’t implement this.
@DrKyle Agree schools are to learn. Why let teachers use them for learning then? Who is responsible for cell phone theft if mandatory to leave in lockers?
@JoanneW2767 @steve_boots I do agree that experiencing the vilification wears a person down. I personally found that MH, addictions and homelessness worse than when I taught, but wouldn’t change what I do. Side note: i make far less money now and experience far for dangerous situations
@steve_boots However I do agree teachers have an incredibly hard job. I wouldn’t say it is anymore intense than an human services field. Imagine being responsible for hundreds of families as a social worker or 80+ case load as an addictions counsellor. All clients with trauma, addictions MH
@steve_boots I got called for surgery with one days notice. Had to do sub plans for a week, while trying to find child care as a single mom in less than 24 hrs. I went back before the surgeon recommended b/c I couldn’t chance not having a sub.
@hinz_tamara Why can’t they still be involved in extracurricular and still have a job? It’s a great way to teach them how to time manage before they get to high school where this is an expectation to know how.
@DTSaskatoon I worked at 13 at a care home. It was the greatest experience. I think kids today are very entitled. Working at 13 in a safe environment will teach them some responsibility and direction.
@Concerned_YXE@ShaneC06@CKOMNews Yes my son is alive. I said he was almost killed. Read my comments. I wish I made that story up. Again, your comments show more about you as a person than anything.
@Concerned_YXE@ShaneC06@CKOMNews I would never post my sons injuries on social media. The fact this was your response says more about you as a person than anything. Hope your family never has to receive that call.
