Paid rides in a car with no steering wheel and no pedals, on public roads in Austin. I used to manage a Level 4 fleet at Nuro and that still gives me chills.

What people miss is that the car is the easy part to film. The hard part is everything around it: remote takeover, who shows up when something weird happens, how many vehicles one person can watch.

Construction is going through the same thing a few years later. Our plan is one technician for 10 to 20 robots, and that ratio decides whether this is a business or a demo.
