@RizoaOfficial@ArmoredNorman That’s part of what really upsets me about the cancellation, we know you can do Stargate with a whole new cast because they already did!
@MultipolarPod@philippilk I wear a Vostok (modern model 420 with the dial seen in the picture, actually) every day and there’s a very obvious reason you would not do this in a situation where timekeeping is vital.
Loose tolerances are a design choice that, like any other, comes with tradeoffs.
@Kreyton_M1E1 Is this the full comparison or do these graphics actually touch on the real reasons the M1 was preferred (to my knowledge, mostly minor ergonomic concerns + low-end acceleration)
@XCFreshman@SamuraiApology ck3 military mechanics are just kinda awful
you just stack buffs on your men at arms until they’re unstoppable sardukar and a few thousand of them can kill a giant army
@IKickDogs911@TW0HEADEDBEAST not even just the middle ages
“rich highly educated type from a foreign country here for tourism is a bit of an asshole” wow you don’t say this is so wholly unexpected
@fakehistoryhunt …my first reaction was that there’s no way they would have had neon signs in 1901, but apparently some stores were using electrified gas tubes in their signs (not neon, though, which was only discovered three years prior.)
I doubt they’d look like that, though.
@CameronCorduroy it only does this, however, because 48 of 50 states + DC have legislatures packed with incorrigible morons (at best) or partisan hacks (at worst) who CHOSE to make a simple majority award 100% of their EVs
@cia_agitator@revenant_MMXX I meant more that people are painting the behavior as something women teachers do not realizing that the perception exists because more women are teachers in general, it’s a statistics thing.
@SCShipyards What does he mean by ‘traditional missiles’ because LRASM *very specifically* incorporates an onboard AI. That’s like, the whole reason it exists. It’s smarter than the old harpoons, since those would be both ineffectual and dangerous to passerby in future maritime battlefields.
@Charcharo@copesint he’s good at picking out the obviously incorrect mythologies surrounding certain things but then responds to them by creating obviously incorrect counter-myths (e.g. ‘rifled tank gun more accurate’)
@realandrerlopes skyrim is a fifteen year old game with a handcrafted map, a beautiful atmosphere of exploration. and not one but two compelling choice-driven main plots
starfield is a three year old game with proc gen slop, poor exploration due to flawed traversal, and a terrible story
@Lantirn40K Are there similar tables for the projected performance of VMF SAMs? I’ve read some period scholarship about the defenses US planners expected to have to overcome (and the # of missiles they expected to fire) and their conclusions make me wonder what information they had access to
@captive_dreamer because it is our plight as a rich country to do as much as we are able for less fortunate nations, especially when the marginal cost (to us) of doing so is relatively minor
bush spoke of this
