Carrying a firearm is not a death sentence, it’s a Constitutionally protected God-given right, and if you don’t understand this you have no business in law enforcement or government.
This lawsuit has already cost us roughly $40,000 in legal bills but we will continue to fight it and we expect a complete and total victory, we stand by the reporting 100%. If you want to support our defense, see the reply, or share this post so others see it
As people feel more powerless in the political system, they'll be more inclined to use social media as a cheap replacement.
This is bad because algorithms are biased towards a) posting and b) strong emotions, so they teach us to bias publicly posting with strong emotions — and when people are already looking to feel some modicum of agency in the system. Social media is then disproportionately driven by thoughts that might not otherwise have been said, or thoughts that might not otherwise have been expressed as intensely.
We are not adapting to this sudden change in communication. It actually seems to be getting worse. Why is a normal-seeming teacher posting a TikTok publicly celebrating Kirk's death? Why not just text your thoughts privately or mention them at the dinner table? And why not just say you disliked the guy? Likes/reposts feel meaningful, and those come more easily if you're more provocative. So we're trained to think that way, and to post that way.
Best solution I can think of is taking algorithms out of social media feeds and going back to literal timelines. But that may not be enough.
I saw this video this morning on my feed and I think it so eloquently explains what Charlie Kirk was put on this earth to do.
“When people stop talking, that’s when you get violence, that is when civil war happens”
Charlie Kirk was more committed to peaceful, open dialogue with those who disagreed with him than anyone I know. God blessed him with immense gifts, and he used them boldly and without fear. He knew the risks he was taking, but he did it anyway because he loved his kids & felt a responsibility to the nation they would inhabit. I traveled the entire country with him last year, we spent 1x1 time together in Ohio two weeks ago, spoke to him again 2 days ago. He’s long warned of the rise of political violence & the growing culture of assassination, when few were willing to listen, with a clarity of vision unlike anyone I’ve known. Completely and utterly devastated.
@esaagar Like anything, there is a balance. It’s not realistic to compare our country to those with smaller populations, but it’s absolutely realistic to question the shit ingredients companies are using and find a healthier way to deliver prepared foods to consumers
@esaagar Breaking Points has become my primary source for any sort of extended coverage on current events. I’ve followed you and Krystal since The Hill and value both of your opinions, particularly because they often differ #premiumsubscriber
Putting love into the world comes back 3xs as much… thankful for everyone who has reached out and prayed. This will make me stronger on the road to recovery, keep praying for me! 🫶🏾3️⃣

@dawson_knox's game-winning touchdown on Sunday meant more to the Knox family. He dedicated it to his younger brother, Luke, who passed away in August.

This is my response to a key word used in the govt agency major and social media propaganda campaign. There is no place for this word in medicine or clinical science. Inviting all those making this claim to come out and discuss the data. Can be the only way to end the crisis.
