Tangent’s first fixed-rate market is live!
You can now borrow $USG against the cbBTC/WBTC @CurveFinance LP token at a fixed 6.5% APY.
No term, no maturity. Just a fixed rate! Link below 👇
Risk parameters are more forgiving here too: 78% max LTV against an 82% liquidation threshold — four points of buffer. Useful, given BTC moves a lot more than a stablecoin pair. RT/like appreciated 🙏
That's not a flaw — it just means this market isn't built for yield loops. It's a credit line against BTC exposure: unlock liquidity without selling your BTC, at a cost you know in advance and that never moves with the peg.
One safeguard already written in: on a significant, sustained USG depeg, a FIR market gets converted into HEC or LEC to push borrowers to repay. No launch date announced yet — but it shows what they're building toward. 👀 RT appreciated 🙏
Found something interesting digging through Tangent's docs: a third market type is documented but not live yet. FIR — Fixed Interest Rate. Here's what's coming 🧵👇 @Tangent_fi
Only HEC applies a progressive rewards deduction — FIR and LEC don't. FIR's trade-off is a flat 10% protocol fee on rewards, versus 2.5% on LEC, or interest-free borrowing on HEC while USG stays above that market's price threshold.
Meanwhile the other side keeps growing: fxUSD supply, fxSAVE deposits and protocol revenue all moving up. And 79.48% of circulating FXN is already locked as veFXN, averaging 3.47 years. RT appreciated 🙏
Good News ;)
f(x) Protocol just cut $FXN emissions by 10% — automatically, on schedule. New FXN entering the market each week drops from 1,522 to 1,370 🧵👇 @protocol_fx
These cuts are written into the emission schedule, not a governance decision made in reaction to price. They happen automatically, and they keep happening.

This week, 3 pools from @ResupplyFi made it to the top 5!
Note: Only the reUSD/scrvUSD and RLUSD/USDC markets still have capacity.
Worth knowing before looping: the liquidation threshold sits at 85%, one single point above max LTV. Both legs are stablecoins so price swings stay minimal, and the LP appreciates over time — but that buffer is thin. Not financial advice. RT/like appreciated 🙏
Tangent just raised the borrow cap on reUSD/scrvUSD — and there's still room left on it. Here's the market, and how it's meant to be used 🧵👇 @Tangent_fi
The loop: deposit reUSD/scrvUSD → borrow USG at 0% → convert back into more collateral → repeat. Max LTV is 84%, and that's what takes you from 3.50% up to ~21.87%.
