The God who saw us through the first 8 months will see us through the rest of the year and beyond.

May He keep us, preserve us and make these last four months beautiful for us. May we have plenty reasons to smile, celebrate and be thankful.

For me, there’s a difference between:

“My daughter and my friend’s son are little besties, so he brought her a birthday present.”

and

“He got his girlfriend a birthday present ”

when both children are far too young to have chosen or even understood that relationship.

The first is adults facilitating their children’s friendship.

The second is adults projecting an adult relationship category onto children.

And if the response is “it’s not that deep, they’re just kids” exactly. They’re just kids. Let them be friends.
