If you recently watched The Devils & are looking for another film inspired by the Loudun possessions, I’d highly recommend Mother Joan of the Angels, a stunning Polish horror movie loosely based on the Loudun possessions. It is set in the wake of the events depicted in The Devils

I watched this for the first time a few weeks ago & thoroughly enjoyed. For fans of gritty, atmospheric, giallo-esque slashers and catholic guilt!

happy 100 years of Faust!
I was genuinely in awe of the nightmarish fairytale imagery. I love expressionist lighting!

It’s very rare that nathan slips out of character but there seems to be a handful of bewildering moments in YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING that he lets that character slip for a brief moment with his subjects. I noticed it particularly during his frustrating interactions with billy lol
