The way I'm trying to use AI now is to build knowledge bases rather than ask questions. In trading especially, the output you get from a model is mostly garbage because almost everything published on trading is bad.

So instead of prompting harder, I curate. I build a corpus of material I actually trust and I define how the concepts and entities in it relate to each other.

The results have gotten dramatically better, but the obvious catch is that the knowledge base can't be smarter than the person building it. You can't filter for quality without already being able to recognize it, which means this isn't a shortcut around expertise.

Just fucking around and finding out for now, I guess.
