A Public Interest Litigation has been filed before the Honโble Supreme Court under Article 32 challenging NBEMSโ notification dated 13 January, which reduced NEET-PG 2025โ26 qualifying cut-offs percentiles to abnormally low levels, even touching zero and negative marks.
The petition has been moved along with my co-petitioners, senior clinicians and representatives of doctorsโ bodies, including Dr Saurav Kumar (@DrSaurav5), Dr Lakshya Mittal (@drlakshyamittal), Dr Akash Soni (@DrAkashSoni) and Dr Dhruv Chauhan (@DrDhruvchauhan).
The PIL submits that such arbitrary dilution of minimum qualifying standards is unconstitutional, violative of Articles 14 and 21, contrary to the NMC Act, 2019, and poses serious risks to patient safety, public health, and the integrity of postgraduate medical education.
Filed through Advocates @advsatyamrajput and Adarsh Singh, AOR Neema.
The matter raises an issue of significant public importance, and it is hoped that constitutional scrutiny will restore merit, accountability, and confidence in Indiaโs medical education system.
