“Knowing the pain of being oppressed when weak, one should not oppress the weaker after gaining power.” - He Simu, #LoveBeyondTheGrave, Ch. 64
I can’t help but think of #Dilraba when I read this.
She has risen so far, achieving a level of success & influence that few ever reach. Yet despite everything she has gained, she remains grounded, grateful, and remarkably gentle. There is a quiet strength in her kindness, the kind that does not come from naivety, but from remembering where she started.
Many people, once they gain power, feel compelled to wield it - to settle scores, to prove their status, to demand what they believe they’re owed. But #Dilireba chooses differently. Even when she has every reason to retaliate or assert authority, she does not let power harden her heart.
And that, to me, makes her even more admirable.
Because it takes a truly extraordinary person to experience hardship, rise above it, and still choose kindness, even when justice, pride, or rightful anger might justify doing otherwise.
