@SkyBet how is locking my account, when I have winnings in it, as well as my access to SportingLife, which frankly is more important, the right response to a complaint I initiated? Beyond belief. Please resolve. #unprofessional#helpyourcustomer#complaint
@mjyharris Just so very, very sad. Thoughts with his groom and all connections. We were very lucky to see his 2nd place at Ascot's Champions' Day last October, although all the attention was on Cicero's Gift. Can't quite believe we won't get to see him again π. RIP The Lion in Winter ποΈ
@JSLTan πππ if you think the BHA's repeated attempt to explain the rule has anything to do with punters not understanding it then I believe you are mistaken.
βWhat we have to do is protect the punter.β
Protect us? From what? You donβt have to protect us from anything other than your decisions.
We can look after ourselves thank you. Itβs called being a grown up.
And if you really think that we need protection betting on a horse race then in this case you failed to do that in every sense.
How did you protect the backers of Christmas Day? Or another horse placed?
ππ

@Dayjur11@jamesaknight Announcement tonight after one horse was withdrawn from the first race: "No deductions will be made from bets placed on the winner"...(I'd backed him yesterday, he wasn't the favourite but like Christmas Day was shortening pre-race).
@jdavelowe Congratulations! A fabulous ride in very tough conditions. We were in the stands cheering them on with thousands of others. Just brilliant ππ
@BHAHorseracing So many industry experts disagree with the decision that was made, including the person that implemented the new rule in the first place. Even some of the bookmakers have demonstrated their disagreement by waiving Rule 4. It needs to be investigated independently (without abuse).
@SiClare Christmas Day was heavily backed yesterday before the race. He ran a great race. I'd backed Maltese Cross and Bay of Brilliance who also ran great races. All subjected to a 25% deduction. Fair for the punters?
@AndrewHarlech52@RHughesracing He was barely behind at the start and had over a mile to catch up, it wasn't a sprint. Christmas Day was heavily backed before the start of the race and ran his race.
@RichBream82@FOBRacing Benvenuto Cellini was barely left behind yesterday out of the stalls. They had over a mile to get back on terms. It just wasn't his day yesterday. Christmas Day and Maltese Cross (as well as others) ran better races. This is a complete farce.
@GemmaBigemma36@CommentatorMark Exactly. Sadly not the ones we used (between two of us we had the winner and two places, got paid out before the announcement, then had the winnings taken back and repaid with the 25% deduction). It wasn't a sprint, Christmas Day and Maltese Cross were just better in that race.
@BasherWatts Was watching her in the parade ring and she was definitely more "animated" than I'd expecting, not having seen her before. Certainly beautiful though. Well done to KS for looking after her for another day - plenty in the same boat today at Epsom! Thanks for updating.
@FluffyPickle@adrian_keatley So very sorry to read this awful news. Thoughts are with all the team following the devastating loss of Kihavah yesterday. RIP beautiful boy ποΈ
