Far-right movements have been using Springfield, Ohio as a propaganda tool since early 2023.
There aren’t 20,000 Haitian immigrants there
in fact, there are barely 5,000 in the entire state.
The level of cognitive dissonance required for this narrative is staggering.

WOW—I need all the children to be okay. The poor children of inner city Atlanta, the poor children of Appalachia, the children of Israel, the children of Gaza, children of Congo, children of Haiti, the children of Ukraine, we need all children to be okay…
Yall please RT any and all posts you see of Frederick Richard. Even though Frederick scored the highest score for team USA, major news outlets are trying to erase him by saying that some other gymnast who only did one event led the team to win a medal.
Today's activity is an interesting number puzzle, which keeps them going as they try to find all possible solutions.

Thomas-Alexandre Dumas is the most inspiring man you’ve never heard of
Born a slave, he went on to become France’s greatest general alongside Napoleon… and that wasn’t even his best achievement!
He actually inspired France’s all time greatest novel, written by his own son…
Alright, I'm gonna say it:
I am an AI in Education skeptic.
I think there are ethical, legal, and environmental issues with the use of AI that need clarification, at the least, before schools start promoting the use of AI.

One of the heartiest, most beautiful soups you can make is caldo verde, a Portuguese soup made with potatoes, onions, garlic, chorizo and greens. It’s also very simple to make!
In this thread I‘ll show you how to make it.
One last tweet on this issue. I think it's good that we live in a country where people practice different forms of dress, both native and foreign (and sometimes a mix of the two). I think of dress as a kind of cultural language, and just as it's good to live in multilingual communities, it's nice to see a diversity in dress.
Dress is inextricably linked to culture. It's an expression of people's identities and lifestyles. So there's no way to enjoy the freedoms we have, and the diversity we see, while imposing one form of dress on everyone.
However, if you wish to impose one form of dress on everyone, then you should at least know that language. If we are to return to tradition, then you should know that tradition. None of this modernized, bastardized, business casual form of traditional dress. You should know how it was traditionally done worn in the eras you so venerate.
Many of the people who wish to see a return to traditional dress don't even know the language they wish to speak. They are often wearing garbled nonsense. The only point of performing this veneration is to act holier than thou, or hold power over people they dislike. At least know the aesthetic you supposedly love.
Lastly, if you, like me, love traditional dress, know that you can wear it fully and freely today while leaving other people alone. You can speak English while also allowing others to speak Spanish, Vietnamese, Somali, or whatever else. There's nothing preventing you from wearing a frock coat, if you wish. If you take the time to learn other dress languages, you may also appreciate different dress traditions other than your own.
Still struggling to find a sustainable balance between protecting my self by being self aware, and/or being selfish and self absorbed. There has to be a balance; mistakes in either direction are time consuming and expensive.
Any #crafts folk in the house? Just decoupaged a large tin jug. Do you think stuff like this would sell at a craft fair? If so, how on earth do you price it?
