The hardest part of having an amazing partner is saying goodbye. We've recently laid RPD Timor to rest & being heartbroken would be an understatement. We’d like to thank @RailDogsFund @WMerciaPolice kennel staff who have supported Timor through his working & retired life. RIP Lad

Trojan officers soon arrived and supported our handler in arresting the suspect who is now in custody and a machete has been recovered.

Our account is still to be closed, however until this is actioned we will continue updating our followers with the daily jobs we deal with 🐾

After reports of a Male waving a large machete in #Uxbridge, first on scene was PD Zimba & Handler. On seeing the Male run into the station, they bravely chased & without further support, PD Zimba confronted the suspect, successfully detaining & preventing harm to the public!

It’s with a heavy heart to announce we sadly lost RPD Marci who has passed away following a short illness. Marci was a 10 year old GSD/Mali Cross who retired in 2022 and was a decorated General Purpose/Firearms Support Dog who in 2017 was awarded the PDSA Order of Merit.

RPD Marty 2009-2023 🌈

Sad news today RPD Marty born 2009 has crossed over the rainbow bridge.

A lovely 14-year-old black and white Springer Spaniel who joined British Transport Police as a puppy.

Marty joined @BTP in 2009 and worked alongside PC Mark Reed.
