For patients undergoing transradial cath cath/pci with a clinical need to resume heparin post procedure, how long are people waiting to resume? #RadialFirst
@aspergian1@agtruesdell@realarainmd@MichaelMegalyMD My staff get tired of me talking about “wire hygiene.” Always drilling new techs to keep the distal wire position on the screen. “What can’t we see in this image….?”
@fischman_david@crfheart Agreed. If you don’t have access to imaging, and the ability to interpret the images, probably shouldn’t be taking on these types of cases.
@SyedYNaqvi1 If stable patient and flow remains good, live to fight another day and get to a center with atherectomy capabilities. Suspect imaging will show calcified nodule.
@jtsaxon This is so true. As a “mid-career” IC, I don’t think about my training all that much from day to day, but when things go awry and get tense, I immediately go back to the lessons learned as a trainee.
