@ByRobDavies Why can’t you reveal where you got the sales data or the sellers selling ID? Is it possibly because you breached someone’s personal data and that could be seen as illegal? Also quite hypocritical to talk about football touting when you were involved in it yourself.
@EMPOROROOPSY @FanFairAlliance @stevelee1973 That is exactly what I thought! The amount of times they have gone on about the outrageous prices from the secondary market, and now they come out with that line! What a bunch of jokers!
@TheTicketingBiz This is good news. Governments should help protect consumers from harmful practices, but that can be done through good legislation that helps business thrive rather than condemn. The sooner cap free resale becomes accepted by the primary market the better it will be for consumers
@TheBluetrot @stevelee1973 @FairTicketing@al3299 @jackpgough @FrontRowSolved@IanBroker1990@dcticketsuk@CityAM Some people don't like to compare the ticket industry to any other money making industry, as they think an experience is somehow different to anything else that can be purchased. Promoters are happy to charge for that experience, but no one else can. Hypocrisy!? #FairTicketing
The most shocking thing about this is people actually thought that TM were actually setting up TM Resale for anything else other than their own benefit. Businesses look to protect themselves and make money that is how industry works. https://t.co/gHV4qFMEpl
@CityAM Good article. The secondary industry has come a long way and now offers consumers transparent options to buy tickets safely. Now is the time for the primary market to catch up with that transparency, help consumers make informed purchase decisions . #FairTicketing
Great article. It is refreshing to see someone talk some sense about the industry. Resale has a lot of value if used responsibly. #FairTicketing https://t.co/k2s4ANZlGB via @CityAM
@musicvenuetrust@markdavyd@DCMS Good to hear @markdavyd views on the report, it is a good day for grass roots but as mark said now is the time for action. It seems when artist/promoters make it to the top they forget how they got there. The industry needs to come together to find a workable solution.
This report was put together by fairly well educated people, and no one thought that that the big perceived problem could actually turn into the solution. Rather than restricting resale for businesses use them to fund grass roots music, its time to work together #FairTicketing
@ByRobDavies The argument about the price paid for a ticket is a bit outdated now. TM Platinum made that so when they decided to charge 5x FV on average tickets. Its all about transparency and compliance now! Neither of which are being done by 'ethical' sites such as Twickets! #FairTicketing
@FairTicketing Maybe they have seen that the primary market can get away with charging consumers silly fees for delivery options so thought they would have a go at it themselves!?
@Colston_Hall @Lady_Cheesy_B @FrontRowSolved@neworder@thespecials@CMAgovUK If venues such as yourselves choose to ignore government advice on the best practice on how to treat consumers, then you can't really be surprised if consumers don't take your T&C's seriously and do whatever they want with the tickets they purchased. #FairTicketing
@stevenbarker74 @LycanEclipse Some companies think they can make up whatever T&C’s they want and consumers should blindly follow them. Turns out there is a bit more to it than that. Consumers are protected by @CMAgovUK, they ensure their legal rights are not taken away when making purchases. #FairTicketing
@T_J_Chambers @StubHub@FEAT_org@CMU Not sure if you could say it was a negative response. It is more of a questioning of the neccesity of the organization. Europe should take a note of what @CMAgovUK have done, they have shown that a balanced approach is the best way forward for consumers. #FairTicketing
@TheTicketingBiz@StubHub@FEAT_org Its interesting that organizations like @FEAT_org always shy away from the important questions, the ones that really make a difference to consumers/fans. Why don't they ever answer questions about transparency in the primary market!? #FairTicketing
It’s interesting to see that GA listings for Drake on StubHub there are about 50 tickets available already, but only 6 of those tickets are from traders. Maybe there isn’t such an issue with traders buying up all the tickets after all!? #FairTicketing
