@AdamMGrant you wrote a page-turner. I deeply appreciate the storytelling - it brings the science alive. As a believer in strengths-based approaches- i also believe we can get better at anything with deliberate practice…actually being interested is the key!

For true #strengths, these 3 elements form a beautiful feedback loop: Great performance provides you with a shot of high energy, so you naturally chooses to do more. In turn, high use—also known as effort or practice—improves performance levels. And so on:
When something begins trending everyone instantly thinks the worst because that’s the trend of trends, to magnify bad vibes fear and depression based so everyone expects the worst and therefore manifests the worst, 2020 is time to change internally to see this change externally
5 things to consider removing next year:
-one toxic person
-one annoying customer
-one topic that robs your attention
-one belief that’s holding you back
-one commitment that isn’t worth the effort
You don’t have to add things to your life to improve it.
I try to share with other people that the ultimate source of happiness is within us; it’s not found in money and fame. I promote fundamental human values on the basis of scientific findings and common sense. Evidence that basic human nature is compassionate is a source of hope.
