@FreeNow_UK taxi app is ridiculous. Got scammed this morning when driver turned up for prebooking then said he had puncture, drove away again but did not cancel so I was charged for full journey and had to pay for another cab to take my wife to hospital appointment!
@PioneersPost@dianabarran Agreed. I appreciate and learn from the “difficult women” in my life every day, whether it’s my wife or daughter (who both have more balls than me) or the challenging women who strengthen the @pioneerspost team. Thanks to all of you!
- biz seeking to win govt work *must* set out how they will deliver social value

A £1bn patient loan fund, managed by socially motivated investors with deep connections to place, would be transformative, ‘cost’ less than 1% of what government already grants to the social sector, and return many multiples of benefit to the taxpayer @DCMS@hmtreasury 4/4

1. Right about now the 20,000th Community Interest Company is registering. An astonishing number really. It's great. CICs are diverse, they keep on coming and they're everywhere. We've seen practically zero scandals / big failures. This also strengthens the 100k #socent estimate.
This is a great opportunity for social enterprises working in access to employment and supporting those most distant from the labour market.
We'll be sharing more information on this next week so keep a look out on our socials!
These young journalists might just change the media! Through @PioneersPost and @SocEntGlobal we’ve supported them to learn about solutions journalism, #socent, creative enterprise - and to develop their storytelling skills. And they’ve created some brilliant features for us.

Great work by our creative @PioneersPost team with this important feature about how one of the UK's most iconic social businesses is pivoting out of the pandemic.
