May I ask a question of students of Congress? In the Senate, the bill calling for sanctions on Russia has 85 co-sponsors. Not mere supporters — co-sponsors. Yet the bill has been sidelined, not voted on. How common is this, for a bill that, apparently, is so popular?

Trump also called Zelensky “a dictator.” To the best of my research abilities, Trump has never called Vladimir Putin a dictator. Nor have I found any case of Trump calling China’s Xi Jinping a dictator. Trump did tell Joe Rogan in autumn, “He controls 1.4 billion people with an iron fist,” but from the context, it is clear Trump meant it as a compliment.
