NEW: French judge Jezabel Dabouis accused of rigging figure skating event against the United States to give France a gold medal.
Viewers were shocked when France's Laurence Fournier Beaudry & Guillaume Cizeron took gold over America's Madison Chock & Evan Bates.
Five of the nine judges gave Chock and Bates the top score, while the other four gave Beaudry and Cizeron the top score.
Thanks to the French judge, however, Beaudry and Cizeron were able to take gold, considering she gave Team USA a much lower score than the other judges.
"Not only did she judge the French pair 6.45 points higher than the mean, but she undervalued Chock/Bates by -7.19 — giving us a +13.64 delta favoring France over USA in the final score. This represents a staggering 6.37 standard deviation z-score difference across the event," reported SBNation.
"There has been a consistent pattern from Jézabel Dabois over multiple events of juicing scores for F. Beaudry/Cizeron in the ice dance, while filing low scores for their opponents," the outlet continued.
"When it comes to the Olympic Games, in which France won gold by just 1.43 points, there is no doubt that the scoring of Dabois was the key differentiator in deciding who won the event."
During an interview with CBS, Chock and Bates, who are married, called for more transparent judging.
This must be investigated.
As an Indiana transplant, IU football’s success this year is something I can only begin to try to grasp. But after living in this state for 5 years, and truly finding a home here, I know what it means to be a Hoosier.
An outsider’s perspective on #IUFB:

This man is the vessel for us all. The people that have grown up going to games playing on the endzone hills. The Dads that despite frustration and the constant twist of bad luck at the smallest success stayed true. And above all those fans that didnt make it to this day that are watching from on high. This one's for you. For the glory of Old IU. @CrimsonCast #NeverDaunted #iufb
Watching NFL playoffs this weekend makes me realize how much my Hoosiers have spoiled me this year! I saw so many penalties, dropped passes, bad throws, and sloppy tackles! I’ll take the Hoosiers any day! #iufb#NeverDaunted
Indiana did not deserve the vitriol it received during and after its first-round CFP loss to Notre Dame.
It’s quite possible that the Hoosiers’ only losses this season came to the two best teams in college football.
