U.S. PMI SURGES, SIGNALING STRONG GROWTH AND RISING COST PRESSURES
U.S. business activity accelerated sharply in September, with manufacturing PMI rising to 57.0, services to 58.7, and the composite index to 58.4, all well above expectations.
The data points to the strongest growth in more than five years, supported by robust hiring and demand.
However, input costs jumped to their highest level since 2022, driven by higher energy and transport costs, adding to inflation concerns even as selling-price increases remained relatively contained.
We get Storm Shadow from the UK and it's helpful. This is a very good weapon. We also get SCALP from France, and we received a limited number of ATACMS from the United States in the past. But that's it.
We didn't get anything else from other countries that goes beyond 200 or 250 kilometers. Never. All these long-range capabilities – 500 to 1,000 kilometers and beyond – were produced in Ukraine.

Steve Cohen, owner of the New York Mets and founder of Point72 Asset Management, earned $3.4 billion in 2025, topping Bloomberg’s list of highest-paid hedge fund managers for the first time.
Point72 manages $45.7 billion, with 3,000 staff and 190+ trading pods. Its growth includes new macro, quant, and private credit units. Cohen outpaced rivals like Ken Griffin ($2.4B) and David Tepper ($3.2B) as markets surged, pushing total earnings for the top 20 managers to a record $28.3 billion.
@elonmusk Families can’t consciously make the decision to have a bigger family when the quality of life of the kids is effected so they have less kids to live comfortably which gives the kids opportunities in life. Would love more but costs are just too high.
