@Footballtweet Exactly why nobody will feel sorry for them when they get relegated. “Not fair on the fans” - they’re part of the problem, arrogant bunch
@AbamiBoy@speziaIs That’s the benefit of having MLS, Zubi, Bruno. We’ve got depth, he doesn’t have to play 90 or even start every game the way he did last season
@WelBeast My dissertation focused on Prem clubs social media engagement - City’s was a clear outlier amongst the “big 6”. Nothing real about this sham club.
When I wrote about this image rights sham for The Independent in 2018, Manchester City threatened to sue us and demanded I tweet out a personal apology on here. We fought them. They did not sue us.
City's sham is confirmed by the Premier League today https://t.co/Fzemh3f8CA
Man City are currently trying to reassure everyone at the club they will prove their innocence 😂
Quick bring Liam Gallagher to perform Wonderwall.
There is a real fear of fans turning on the ownership. The reality is setting in.
@Mcfc_page26 There were countless “United fans” at the Arsenal celebrations last season, them going over to support you lots again would be utterly shameless😂
@stompey__ Honestly ridiculous. How can VAR watch that back and say that’s a fair challenge? Gets none of the ball and goes straight through him😂 absolute clowns in the VAR room
This is a diplomatic THREAT.
So if City are found guilty, this may affect diplomatic relations between the UAE and Britain? From investment, trade or maybe even security?
Threatening this is an attempt to recruit the British government into influencing an independent football process. And it must be investigated and the government must confirm whether UAE representatives have ever raised this with ministers, officials or diplomats.
This is a slippery slope and we cannot allow state owned clubs to become harder to punish and football sanctions to become diplomatic disputes.
