@madammide@JajaPhD Lol no. Just do the math. It's 14 odd hours extra per week with double pay and about 18.6 with 1.5. Both less than 60 hours per week.
Not necessarily. If one gets double pay for overtime, a salary of 1800 per month (37.5 contracted hours) will increase to 2900 with 14 hours overtime per week.
£1100 extra after tax when your basic pay after tax is £1800 is more than a “couple” overtime o. It’s a lotttttt of overtime. In fact, it’s as much overtime as a part time contract.
@akinsanyajoe@Sikowitz17 Not everyone gets their base salary for overtime. I can do the math for you. 1800 net without any contributions is 12.87 per hour for 37.5 hours contract, with double rate overtime, you only need 14 hours overtime to make 2900 per month.
@Mr_franks9 The point is you go home with more money. The 6 out of 10 is still good money, since it's extra. What if your original salary is 57k, won't you pay taxes? If you are talking about resting it's a different argument, not all jobs are stressful.
