How is this allowed? Gurdwara committees aren’t doing their job properly.
If you can’t do this properly then don’t do it (Anand karaj) go for court marriage instead.
🚨 Alberta ERs are under severe strain: Flu, RSV & COVID are surging. Flu cases have doubled in weeks, with 650+ hospitalized, levels not seen in years.
1. Please stay home if sick. Most viral illness can be managed at home with rest, fluids and OTC meds.
2. Get vaccinated, especially if high-risk.

Todays the day when Sikhs girls who don’t go to the gurdwara or don’t wear a Kara will hold up a fucking pasta strainer in sky and celebrate that dumb Hindu festival because it’s trendy and cool.
We are deeply saddened by the recent incident where Sikh passengers were subjected to hours of harassment and had their flight tickets canceled for refusing to remove their turbans. This is not just about security; it’s about understanding and respecting our identity.
“Bhai Sahib respects America and its efforts to ensure everyone’s safety. The Dastaar is our Identity. During his travels, a white family asked what he was wearing on his head. Bhai Sahib shared with them that it is our ‘sir da taaj’—our Crown. The children were happy to learn something new. It’s crucial for the Sikh community to educate others about our identity, especially since so many have sacrificed their lives to protect our articles of faith.”
This was Bhai Sahib’s first time being asked to remove his Turban in 20 years of travel. UNITED SIKHS stands with the victims and calls for accountability, education, and sensitivity training for airport staff to prevent such discrimination.
Let’s work together to build a society where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. 🙏🏽
