I see all those garbage 'Design Trends for 2023' clickbait articles are starting to come out again, so it's time to trot out this 4 year old strip to show that nothing ever changes (except maybe the bit about Dropbox).

Been playing Marvel Snap and ’m really enjoying it even though I can’t stand Marvel. It’s really well designed.
Bizarrely, I’m quite good at it too and win the vast majority of my games. I’m usually absolutely terrible at multiplayer games, especially card games like this.
I understand it would be difficult to make the game more open as that would take much more time to do, so not complaining. It’s just the nature of linear story driven games. Maybe I just prefer the freedom of open world games these days.
Ragnarök is still an incredible game!
Really enjoying God of War Ragnarök but, much like the first game, certain parts are too linear and feel too restrictive.

Compared to kids who don’t play, those who play 3 hrs/day have better working memory & impulse control. Experiments show cognitive benefits for adults too.
Video games are a form of exercise for the brain.
Tunic is one of those games that probably isn’t really for me but too many people are saying great and intriguing things about it that I think I’m going to have to give it a go.
iOS 16’s new lock screen customisation feature is great but there definitely are some annoying UX design issues. This article explains them well: https://t.co/yH2oAfcIdG
Japan have *finally* announced they’re fully opening up for tourists again, so we immediately booked our flights to Japan for next year. It still doesn’t feel real!
All I want to do is go back to Japan. My wife and I were weeks away from going before the pandemic began. They still haven’t fully opened up over 2 years later and still no idea when we’ll be able to go.
In all seriousness, I've designed interfaces in Director, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Sketch, Figma and many others. Figma is just another tool. There will be another. And then another. And another after that.
General message: Chill out and stop fetishising tools.
