To the faithful citizens of Raleigh, the steadfast supporters of our cause, and all loyal subjects who have stood with us through every campaign,

Hear ye! Hear ye!

By the grace of Providence, through unwavering resolve, and by the unbreakable spirit of Carolina, the war for Lord Stanley’s Prize is won!

The Knights of Vegas have been routed from the field, their banners cast down into the desert sands, and their once-proud fortress now echoes only with the victorious cries of the Carolina Regiment. After countless battles, bruises, and sacrifices, our brave soldiers have seized the most coveted treasure in all the hockey kingdoms—

THE STANLEY CUP!

No longer shall it rest in foreign hands. It now belongs to Carolina.

To every man who marched beneath our banner—from the first skirmish of autumn to the final clash upon the Vegas frontier—you have etched your names into history. To every soldier who donned the colors of our Regiment, your courage shall be sung for generations.

Yet this victory belongs not only to those upon the battlefield.

It belongs to you, the people of Raleigh.

Your thunderous cheers shook the walls of our stronghold. Your faith never wavered when the nights grew darkest. You armed us with belief when powder and steel alone would not suffice. Every “Let’s Go Canes!” carried upon the wind became another volley against our enemies.

This night, we shall rejoice in the conquered city of Vegas, raising our cups high and honoring those who carried us to glory.

But make no mistake…

The greatest celebration is yet to come.

Soon, the Carolina Regiment shall march home with Lord Stanley’s Prize held proudly at the head of the column. The roads to Raleigh shall overflow with patriots, the bells shall ring from every steeple, and the streets shall become a festival unlike any witnessed in this young republic.

The ale shall flow.
