@pureelectricuk And most LL’s don’t understand the value as it can’t be felt - it’s not physical. Most see EICRs as a hinderence; a pain in the ass and an expense they don’t need. It’s been okay for 30 years, why do I need to get it checked. They just want to tick the box with the insurer
@pureelectricuk But then the LL has to take responsibility. You get what you pay for. If a bonafide electrician/contractor carries out a full EICR (for the correct money), the LL has to understand the value of it. £350 for a full EICR is around £1-1.50 per wk of its validity (5 yrs)...
@Adrianepdavey @uk_sparky_kev Also, on the matter of electrotechnical competence, I received this today. Apparently from September, contractors will need to maintain employee competency records including ongoing training and CPD. I’m hoping it’s a move in the right direction but won’t hold my breath
@Adrianepdavey @uk_sparky_kev Must be one of those new wireless models 👀 But seriously, how can any reputable contractor compete with that?! We simply couldn’t. Would the last one remaining please turn out the lights (pun intended) 😒
@Adrianepdavey@H_S_E A few suppliers and wholesalers around Brighton have been emailing to say they have some limited stocks of PPE items (FFP2 masks etc). @prindustrial did have some respirator items too a couple of weeks back
@ColDixonElec Total cost ex VAT, stating what’s included (quantified materials, if necessary, but not itemised costs unless specifically a Schedule of Rates tender). Side note on cost build up for any variations/changes by Client
We are currently looking to recruit #electricians for current and forthcoming projects in #Brighton#London and the surrounding areas. If interested, please e-mail a current CV to [email protected] (no agencies at this time) - thank you
