The scene in Lahaina, Maui this morning is absolutely devastating.
The entire town is being destroyed by an intense wildfire, forcing residents to sheek shelter in the ocean.
Make no mistake, climate change is making scenes like this more frequent.
A little late but my 4th and last fieldwork day was last Friday June 30th. It’s was the longest day we’ve had. We came across eels, got stung by many sea nettles, and got these amazing pictures from Megan May (not on twitter)! Now all of my thesis fieldwork is complete! 🤯🦪

We joined @SeaTurtles_Org, @MissionBlue & 150+ orgs to call on @CarlosAlvQ and @LassoGuillermo to create the Cocos-Galapagos Swimway by publishing a full-page ad in @nytimes today. This would protect migratory marine species and expand marine protected areas.

A huge pod of white-sided dolphins have been brutally slaughtered in the Faroe Islands this evening.
