So a Republican Congressman is alleged to have physically assaulted his girlfriend (he is married btw) and when police seek an arrest warrant, the US attorney's office doesn't support the arrest.

Unprecedented and wild.

No, a member of Congress should not be above the law.
And no, it's not acceptable to assault people. In particular, it's wrong when a man strikes a woman.

And I bet we get silence from those "law and order" types in Congress.
