After five days of play and a record-setting field of 11,933 entries, Richard Alsup emerged victorious in Event #18: $1,500 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold’em.
The win earned Alsup $1,302,125 and his second WSOP bracelet. Congratulations to Richard Alsup on another incredible achievement.
Maybe @DougPolkVids should re-make that clueless video rating States by their poker excellence and actually do some research and put some respect on the Land of 10,000 lakes --- Dude clearly had no idea what he was talking about. Its not his fault, hes just not privy to the plethora of sharks in the water of those lakes. 🫡🫡💯💯
AS STATED BEFORE THE SERIES STARTED- MINNESOTA IS HOME TO SOME OF THE BEST TOURNAMENT POKER PLAYERS ON THE PLANET!!! AND @richalsup JUST YET AGAIN PROVED THAT BY TAKING DOWN THE MONSTER STACK FOR 1.3 MILLY!!! LFG!!! 🫡🫡🫡💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🐦📞
Off to Vegas.
I distinctly recall the first WSOP i ever 'attended' --- Was living/backpacking across Australia/New Zealand for 3 years --- introduced to poker in a hostel. Flew back to states in 2018. Broke AF. Had enough to fly to vegas where i stayed in a hostel near DT and simply just went to the WSOP to take it in- didnt even play anything.
I always get butterflies in my stomach headed out for the series now, knowing things can change quickly. 🙏
Im excited and im ready for the long-waited deep and meaningful run that'll make all those car-stays, lonely nights, chances i foolishly took worth it. 🫡
Also- shout out all my MN poker homies and home girls. Lets yet against prove we are one of the tournament cremes of the crop. 💯
Anthony Edwards explains why he dapped up the Spurs with 8 minutes left:
“When you win a playoff series everybody is celebrating at the end of the game. They’ll be smiling while I’m pissed off. I was like ‘let me go ahead and congratulate these boys because I’m not going to be laughing with y’all after you whooped my ass.’ I didn’t want to go dap them n***** up at all. But then what would they have said about me? That’s why I’m me and y’all are whoever y’all are.” 😶

One thing remains consistent. People who aren’t good at tournaments think there is no edge in tournaments….
There are winners and losers. There is a ton of skill in tournaments.
Edges are bigger than most people think, much bigger.
If you disagree you are just wrong and probably not a winning tournament player.
🚨🚨 If anyone I know is going to be out at the WSOP for the summer and has an extra room in an Air BnB off the strip.... HOLLA!! 🙋♂️🙋♂️ 🙏🙏 🚨🚨
