$META CEO Mark Zuckerberg:
“There’s a very high chance the world is going to look pretty different in a few years.
We tell our teams internally: ‘Take superintelligence seriously.’
We believe this will reshape all of our systems—not necessarily quarter-to-quarter, but over the next few years, it’s going to change a lot of assumptions around how things work.”
“Some of the most aggressive assumptions about AI timelines have turned out to be the most accurate.
That’s why we’re pushing hard on talent, compute, and deploying AI across all our products—because Meta is uniquely good at getting technology in front of billions of people.”
@OmniSyncServer getting sync errors today. "SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made" on Mac, "Integration Blocked/coordinators are opening a route" on iOS. How can I fix this?
@rtenbrink1@jefielding Yep. It's a Cambrian explosion out there, so all that matters is survival of the most adaptable. Corollary is it's NOT traction.
Of course that's your contention.
You're a VC associate turned wildfire expert, just got done reading some American Dynamism, probably @pmarca?
Next, you'll be talking about the 2014 water bill, the smelt and blaming Newsom til you realize...

The Washington Post yesterday: the Ukrainian Army is exhausted, is waiting for a cease-fire, and has been set for defensive actions.
The BBC today: the Ukrainian Army has launched a new Kursk offensive.
Me, freshly from Sudzha: silently smiling.
@saranormous offered ok. like woodworking. but calling that "technical literacy" strikes me as hyperbole. it's just a bunch of things that let you build something that's actually quite low-level and limited. like woodworking. it's not general like financial literacy.
Hard to understand why 8 years after Trump's 1st election victory Europeans are still so reliant on the US when it comes to defense. They've really put their national security in the hands of swing voters in a handful of US battleground states. And it looks like that gamble has not paid off.
