I got hired for my first software engineering Job in October, since my career began I'm learning that there is so much I don't know. I'm learning more everyday than I did in school! #csharp#programmer#softwaredeveloper#engineer#DotNet
I am Officially no longer taking freelance jobs in #gamedev and #webdev !
My internship has ended and I am now in full swing to get my foot into one of the two as a full time position! I’m so excited to have time for projects, social media, and mass job applications
I’ve been looking into the stem Lego community and it’s pretty mind blowing what my fellow man children are creating. One guy even used his #gamedev knowledge to create an auto running gear set and my mind is blown. I may create an evolving Lego Star Wars in the same vain.
Update:
Relearned a lot today. Animation transitions are smoother, camera is cleaner, made a test platform section to see if my idea would work, and finally the big one! A death scene and respawn mechanic.

Update:
Ran into a lot of issues following and had to bug fix for at least 5 hours. I now have solid animations, a better camera, gravity, and a death trigger without a death screen(yet), and FINALLY proper controller support

When I first left web dev to start learning #gamedev at 16 years old I got really discouraged by the fact everyone was speedy Gonzalez only to learn the pros at AAA studios will spend an entire week writing one script because real life isn’t the movies #programming#100DaysOfCode
Computer experts on TV and Movies seem to magically know things. You don't see them reading books, attending conferences, contributing to open source, debugging code, taking classes, working collaboratively, refactoring, or using StackOverflow.
I hate to beg but is any #indiedev#indiegame#gamedev offering internships starting next month?
My degree requires an internship for graduation and I would like to do it in game design instead of the local robotics and car companies.
It’s still weird to me that I graduate this year and that means when I start spam applying to jobs that this time next year I could be a professional #gamedev , or a #webdev . I’m really glad I spent time mastering multiple disciplines instead of focusing on a single one.
In middle school web design class I was amazed at how I could control things and make it whatever I want.
That lead to game dev stuff which lead to App dev stuff which lead to university which is now leading having to decide which code I wanna do professionally
Day 1 progress. I haven't used UNITY since around early 2019 so it feels good to be back into a retro engine instead of the modern Unreal engine. I can see so many opportunities already for cool switch games
