First jazz record I tried wrapping my head around years ago in the depths of my thrash metal teenagedom. Been giving my playing an overhaul and enjoying spending time with records that were waaaaaaay too nuanced for me back in the day and/or didn’t feature lyrics about orcs.
And I’m sure I’ve accidentally written a record’s worth of stuff you could light some incense to, but really I showed up with a blank canvas, willing to wake up with the sun, put fingers to keys and pen to paper, and see what happened. I’ve corralled around 40 ideas…
