#dc3209@carolyn_guertin When it comes down to the bottom line, Facebook is all about profit. Without user generated content, Facebook would not be able to run and therefore Facebook's initiative was a marketing ploy
Group2 (Nathan, Sofia, Ansley, Taylor, Drew): You can't have user generated content if everyone doesn't have equal access to internet/social media #dc3209@carolyn_guertin
@carolyn_guertin Probably a combination of both - it would be real life pp to the fictional viewers in the movie but fictional pp to us real life viewers
Examples of RLPP: Nike & Forrest Gump, Nokia & The Matrix, Beats speakers & Miley Cyrus, sponsored Instagram posts, Pepsi & Back to the Future @carolyn_guertin#DC3209
Real life product placement is the use of real brands in movies, tv shows, etc. It shows the brand's products in action which persuades viewers to purchase the products @carolyn_guertin#DC3209
@carolyn_guertin to what extent does the concept of tribalism affect the different ideologies that social media creates? how does social media use tribalism to its advantage (ie. in what it circulates)? #dc3209
@carolyn_guertin both sites aim to uncover personal information about people, but in different ways. it's almost as if google is looking into the inner workings of people's minds whereas facebook looks at how people interact and share info with each other #dc2001
@caroyln_guertin the only time I really avoid social media is during things like tv events that i can't watch right away (bc I don't want to see the spoilers)
@carolyn_guertin If I find that someone is posting a lot of confident that I don't connect with, I typically won't unfriend them but I'll turn off posts for them #dc2001
#dc2001@carolyn_guertin digital copying is easier to take and adapt. the law really only punishes copying that doesn't properly credit the originator which is fair
