@Staceywestblog@Fly9Ricky And just to clarify Gaz mate, there’s no hate on the article whatsoever. Just opinions regarding the stats based analysis and what it’s bringing to the Lincoln City table/experience in the here and now
@Fly9Ricky@Staceywestblog I 100% agree with the budget argument. But that doesn’t mean fans should settle and it be used as an excuse. The performances have been so poor that we are in mid table. If we had played to our full potential then we’d be in a much better position. Season is a dead rubber now.
@Fly9Ricky@Staceywestblog I said I think.. And that’s good that you trust. The biggest thing for me is we haven’t won a couple more games. We are worse off in the table and worse off performance wise to the eye. Enjoy the rest of the season
@ContraryImp @Tony65438425@Staceywestblog Ah I understand now. I was going as a young lad then so can’t remember and can’t comment. I’m more frustrated that the style of football is so poor after 73 game than it was after 15 when we had an incredible run last season
@Fly9Ricky@Staceywestblog I agree. And they should be used. How they’re used is a different matter. You can overload personnel with data. I think that’s happening now. The league table doesn’t lie. Last season we conceded 40 goals. We’ve conceded 39 now with 15 to go. There’s a stat for you
@Fly9Ricky@Staceywestblog I also understand it from Gary’s perspective and use for creating content. But everything at this club now is about stats. The league table is the one that matters. Comparing to last season, we’re going backwards
@Fly9Ricky@Staceywestblog I’m not attacking it. I’m saying that we can and the club can become to statistic orientated. X amount of crosses under each manager and MS is higher. How many have we scored from a direct cross into the box is the stat to care about surely?
@DecoratingKdo@Staceywestblog Improvement should be visible, if the club has ambitions of Championship football then stagnating and accepting debatable fine margins of improvement aren’t the way to achieve it
@Tony65438425@Staceywestblog What I’m saying is, is you can look at stats and %’s all day long and say we are better, but we aren’t when it comes to performance to the eye. Article states we are statistically by fine margins, but with a the amount of investment gone into the squad it should be visible
