@jacium29@Dussyme That's actually not written correctly. The square root of 49 is not two different numbers. I can't write the notation using this phone so I'll say what your sentence should have said. ๐ซ
If x^2=49 then x is plus or minus the square root of 49.
@Beno10_MFC 3a = 150, so a=50.
50 - b^2 = 25. So b^2 = 25 and b = 5 or -5.
If b = 5 or -5 a - 25 = 25. So a = 50.
There are two solutions. {50, 5} and {50, -5}.
b/5 = +/- 1

@Milajoy I'm 80 now. I grew in the SF Bay Area and it's true, I didn't see color. But that was because of social segregation. By choice, not law. It is not something I'd want to go back to. It was not a better America.
